  5. Terminus was sighted in 2012 by Jules   
  6. Sorel during the Third Transantarctic   
  7. Safari. He kept detailed notes and some 
  8. old-fashioned still holo records now so 
  9. fragmented that most resolution has been
  10. lost.

  12. In the dim computer-generated holo      
  13. images, Terminus looked like an ordinary
  14. glacially carved dry valley free of ice 
  15. and snow. In the center of the lowest   
  16. point was what appeared to be a lake.

  18. Mean temperature, according to Sorel, is
  19. 15 degrees Celsius, (60 degrees         
  20. Fahrenheit); heat source unknown but    
  21. presumed to be geothermal. Terminus has 
  22. never been detected from satellite or   
  23. airship overflights, and its precise    
  24. location is unknown. Reasons are        
  25. unclear, but History AI speculates      
  26. Terminus is shaded by ice overhang or   
  27. significant rock outcroppings. Sorel    
  28. claims he saw or planted (the meaning is
  29. unclear) modified beech and conifers,   
  30. ferns, even grasses. This claim cannot  
  31. be substantiated.
